Interim GC 

This client provides specialised warehousing and transportation. Based in the US, the client owns and operates warehouses worldwide. The current General Counsel Europe will be leaving the company on short notice, and the company expects to be needing some time to find a good successor. Our network colleague has been asked by the international law firm that services the client on a global scale, to activate the WeLegal Network to bring in a good interim GC to bridge the intervening period. 

In this role you will act as the primary legal advisor to the European part of the group, reporting to the US-based Chief Legal OfficerThis position includes providing legal support and advice on a wide range of operational, commercial and governance issues, with an overall expertise and emphasis on Corporate Compliance and Commercial Transactions. Furthermore, the General Counsel Europe will be performing legal services for the European operation, involving consultation, advisory, document review and drafting activities, carrying out the legal processes necessary to affect the rights, privileges, and obligations of the organization as directed by the Chief Legal Officer and the Managing Director Europe. As such, the position requires a solid foundation in European regulations and corporate laws, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, real estate development, human resources areas and the ability to support operational units with routine requests. 

This is a project suitable for a seasoned senior corporate legal counsel / General counsel that is used to working in high-paced international organisations. Someone that has the flexibility to work under a US-based management.

• Duration: as long as it takes to find and hire a permanent replacement
• Location: hybrid (EU headoffices are located near Amsterdam)

Jij bepaalt: Kiest de client voor jou, dan stemmen jullie samen af hoe de samenwerking gaat verlopen en wat het tarief wordt.  
WeLegal zorgt voor de admin: De centrale WeLegal organisatie zorgt voor contractering en facturatie richting de cliënt. En we zorgen dat de doorverwijzende partner het aandeel in de omzet ontvangt.
